Re: AUDIO PROBLEM HELP PLEASE
In whatever player you are using for video with audio on the Internet check the player controls that mute is not selected or the volume is not turned down. These players will work audio independently of the volume properties sliders.
If this approach is not consistent with your problem you may need to repair your audio codecs on your machine a good program to install that will add-in codecs and repair any broken codes is K-Lite. You can get it from this location. Select a download mirror and then allow or start the download. Once you have downloaded it install it and let all the default settings ride.
Let me know how this works out for you. Regards, Worldvet

It means that you have not installed your audio device correctly, check for your audio by right click my computer icons, manage, system tools, device manager, see that a yellow sign in your audio, right click to update your driver from internet. If you have a cd driver on you just insert it to your pc and install the audio driver If you don't have any cd driver you can directly download here and install it by double clicking the exe file.
Sometime the audio is only working via the audio ports located on the front of the computer case. Other times it only works via the audio ports on the back of the case where all the connectors are located.

Mercury P4VM800M7 Check the Audio jumpers on the motherboard. See page 1, (AUDIO1). There should be two jumpers over pins 9&10 and pins 5&6 for the rear audio ports to function. See pages 17 in you’re manual for a closer look. Next check the bios. See pages 30 in you’re manual. Bios, Audio setting should be set to [Enabled]. Save and exit the bios. Open windows control panel than open Sound and Audio Devices icon. Check the Audio tab and the Voice tab. Both should list as AC'97. If not re-install you're audio software from the CD that came with you're MB. OR you can download it from the link provided below; http://download.cnet.com/Audio-Realtek-ALC655-AC-97-AUDIO/3000-2110_4-168843.html If you still receive feed-back try another speaker system. (Still no change)? Audio controller is defective. Replace with a PCI sound card.
Go to Start, then Run, type services.msc, then enter. When the box comes up, look for Windows Audio in one of the subcategories. Double-click it. right click and restart the service. Also make sure it is set to automatic.

Are you sure your player has got the right codecs to play both audio and video of the DVD you have burnt?
PS: Try installing the Ace Mega Codecs Pack just to make sure you have all the codecs. (Remember though that this software will install all the required codecs as well as the unneeded ones...the ones maybe required in the future probably)
