My dvd burner doesn't burn dvds

Hi,
My dvd burner is burning cds normaly but i am having a problem with burning the dvds. It says that it has a problem writting to a disk. Also it says that I should clean the disk remove all fingerprints atc...
I tried several new blank discs and I get the same problem.
Anything that would lead to solve this problem will be appreciated. Thank you very much

P.s. I am using "sonic record now" version 6.5.3 I've tried older version of nero before and I had similar problem
Acer Extensa 5620 - vista o/s Built-in dvd burner will not burn DVD. No problem playing DVD or burning/reading CD. External DVD burner connected by firewire is ok. Any ideas please?

You need to check that with blank DVD's you are using compatible with your drive.Because the DVD's may work with your extranal drive but not with your builting drive. If this doen't slove the problem I would recommend using a different burning software other than "sonic record now" and "vista o/s Built-in dvd burner".
