Hi, I have a Neff S5409 and have the problem where it sounds like it is trying to drain and will not fill with water. We have checked the filters and removed the inside cover to check for blockages, there weren't any. The dishwasher then worked ok, but finished the programme and hadn't drained. I then put it onto another programme and it drained ok. I have gone to use it again and now will not fill at all, just the sucking/pumping sound. Any ideas what could be wrong please, typically the machine is just over 2 years old and out of warranty. Is there any way I can reset it, cos it sounds as if it's confused to me. Incidentally have just returned from 2 week hols and it was working fine before we went and used iton our return about 6 times before the problem occured. Thanks for your help.

Thanks I'll get hubby to give it a go, how would it suddenly flood though when I had been using it perfectly ok.
Sounds to me like you have put the dishwasher into flood mode, this happens when there is water in the base panel, try leaning the dishwasher back and see if any water comes out. :)

sometimes dishwashers flood when too much powder is used as the foam can overflow into the base. If you have just cleaned it and taken the spray arms off make sure they are the correct way up and not blocked as this can also do it :)
