My back light is very dim, and I was wondering if this needs to be replaced, if so, how can I get the part?
Replacing a backlight is better left to the experts of experts - it is very, very, very specialized. On these models, a dim screen can also be a dead inverter - I'd try replacing that first. If replacing the inverter doesn't solve it, then just replace the screen. Don't even think about replacing the tube yourself.
