Sony vaio geforce driver

I have a sony vaio vgn-fe41m with geforce go 7400 gpu vga card .
i try to connect it to my lcd through vga cable .
my lcd resolution is 1366*768 , but the highest on the vga card is 1280 .
so when i connect both together , my laptop gives me a black screen and the lcd doesn't sense anything .

    i already tried to reinstall the driver but the problem is , it's not on the nvidia site , they tell you to go get it from sony . and in sony i can not find it .

Try to reinstall the driver.
You can get it from www.nvidia.com
If worse comes to worse, you could always reinstall windows.

The battery is fully charged, and the ac adapter is plugged into the laptop, when i push the on button the laptop will not start


Remove the battery and power source. Remove the RAM and hdd. Power up with the power supply and it should do something. If it does, replace the RAM and hdd it should now restart. If nothing, check the GPU.

I would suggest you try safe mode.
Safe mode is a troubleshooting option for Windows that starts your computer in a limited state. Only the basic files and drivers necessary to run Windows are started. The words "Safe Mode" appear in the corners of the display to identify which Windows mode you are using. If an existing problem does not reappear when you start in safe mode, you can eliminate the default settings and basic device drivers as possible causes.
If you don't know the cause of the problem, you can use the process of elimination to help you find the problem. Try starting all of the programs you commonly use, including the programs in your Startup folder, one by one, to see if a program might be the cause of the problem.
Follow the steps to boot the computer in safe mode with networking:
1. Restart your computer if it is powered on.
2. Tap the F8 key after your computer initially powers on.
3. Once you see the Advanced Boot Options menu you can stop tapping.
4. Use the up/down arrow keys to highlight your selection.
5. Select Safe Mode with Networking and press Enter.
6. You should see drivers loading, and then please wait.
7. You should then be at the Welcome Screen.
8. Logon to your computer using an account with Administrator privileges.

Speakers don t work


try checking windows control panal too see if you have drivers installed. if o.k. try sound icon to see if you have ticked mute box. here's the one that got me,the dvd playing program had the mute box ticked. re-launch dvd played/media played and un-tick. good luck

After turn on my computer I have only three short beep.


Open the cpu cabinet cover.Then reconnect the RAM memory into motherboard. Make sure motherboard is not ground with cabinet cover. Clean dust from motherboard .If there is any pci or vga card reconnect it. Also pull cmos cell from motherboard for 10 minutes then all settings defaults then check. Freezes on the warm boot screen MC9000


This can be for a number of reasons.

First thing would be to try and cold boot the device:-

Remove battery half way, hold power button and trigger, push battery in fully until click and then release power and trigger

If that fails next thing would be to try and re-flash the operating system. This is done by using an SD card and loading the latest operating files onto it. The SD card slot is located under the keypad. A cross head screwdriver is required to remove the keypad. Search on symbol software download site for the latest. The download also has a readme with detailed instructions. Once the files are on perform a cold boot.

Remove battery half way, hold power button and trigger, push battery in fully until click and then release power and trigger. Drop the terminal in a cradle so that it runs on external power.
