Question about Canon PIXMA MP830 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have both a small black cartridge (#8) and a large one (#5); #5 is totally empty but #8 is pratically full; however, my copies are not printing correctly. Isn't the #8 suppose to print even is the larger one is out?
Well, they all work this way. I like my canon but as far as ink mangement goes they are a mess. I feel like they wrote a program to use ink in a way that you will have to always buy all of the tanks and keep them full to print. Not sure why there are two black tanks, but try the black and white only or greyscale selection when you print. Who knows? Maybe the one tank is for B&W only and the other is for use in color. Not sure but I know if either is out you will not be allowed to print in any color period. They want you to buy these inks and have sold the printer itself for a low price to do so. All of the comapnies do. Ink is where the money is - kinda like selling popcorn and cold drinks is how movie theaters make money, not ticket sales.
