Many possibilities, calcium build up broke loose and a granule is stuck under valve, pivot screw loose or missing, rubbe seat hard or cracked, first see that vale accuater ( the thing you push your glass against is un obstructed and moving freely, then try rapidly opening and closing, to dislodge any thing. If that doesn't work shut off water and disconnect, past ice maker valve, blow
back ward with clean compressed air ( 5lbs psi ) while holding dispenser valve open. Reassemble and test. this should do it , if not start looking further.

We had the same fault on our Samsung American style RSH1DBRS fridge freezer as lots of other people seem to be having. After doing lots of research, we found the best solution seemed to be to buy a repair kit from Appliance DIY Repairs. The instructions were fantastic and the installation was a doddle. Excellent service & well priced.
If you want to make use of the facility provided by the fridge then you will have to fulfill its requirements. Else it will not dispense. You may like to take the toughest way. Attach an elbow and a vertical pipe to the water inlet and keep filling it at regular intervals depending on the consumption. You will have to use a funnel and keep the pipe going higher than the fridge. Will look very odd and you will get bored of the procedure in no time. Might as well think of attaching the water pipe to the fridge. Choice is yours.
Hi i have installed my american fridge freezer DAEWOO FRSU20DC but the ice cube maker don't seem to be working. There is not even any water going in to the ice cube tray but there is water going to the water one. Hope someone can help thanks
I recently found out that the water supply lines are coiled up inside behind the frige on the refrigerator side moving the unit will cause those coiled up lines to shift to the freezer side of the unit, causing a freeze up,take the cardboard lower back off and move those lines further away from the freezer side of the unit, as one of those coiled up lines are to chill the water for the dispenser and the other is supply for the icemaker, this should fix your problem, becareful not to move them too far away from the freezer side as they are meant to chill the water for the dispenser
Sounds like the water solinoid valves are wired wrong. One activates The water dispenser. The other the ice maker. That, why every so often the water shoots out on the floor. The ice maker is telling the valve to open.
If you trace up from the water leak it must have an origin. If it starts high level I would suspect the door not sealing allowing warm air to be chilled down cold enough to condense. If it starts around the water or ice dispenser you may have a bed connection or break in the supply lines. I am assuming this is on the freezer section. It would also account for the light as there are normally door switches for the light and fan. If you open the door on the freezer section and push on the switches you should see the light go on and off. Hope this helps, water leaks are always a pain even for engineers.
