Unlock keyboard on computer

Hello. There are several things you can try to unlock the keyboard.
- Shutdown the computer, then turn it on afterwards. Check keyboard functionality.
- If you're using a desktop, disconnect keyboard, restart computer then plug the keyboard back once the computer has boot up completely.
- If you're using a laptop, turn it off, unplug the power cord, remove the battery, re- seat the battery after a minute, plug-in the power cord then turn on the laptop.
- Disable On-Screen keyboard
- Right click "My Computer" icon on the desktop then select "Properties". Click "Device Manager". Look for the Keyboard, hit the drop down arrow beside it to display the installed keyboard. Right click on it and if you see "Enable", click on it, otherwise it's already enabled.

T30 Power up problem

The c-mos won't cause this. The power button is integrated into the keyboard, and uses the same connector as the keyboard to get power to the system. In most cases, the board with the power button (which is part of the keyboard) is worn out. Occassionally the keyboard connector will work loose or get a little corrosion or dirt and not make a good contact, check and clean the connection. If the connection is good, then I'm afraid you will need to replace the keyboard in order to cure the problem.
