RX595 Printer error has occurred

I changed an ink cartridge and was sure I had it properly snapped into place; however, after charging the ink, I am getting a printer error has occurrer error. It tells me to turn off the printer, thenpress On button to turn on and to see documentation. When I turn it off and back on, it sounds like it's charging and suddenly stops with a horrible noise and gives me the same error. The only documentation I have is the on-line users guide and I'm not having any luck getting back in operation. The Ink box seems to be what is jammed as I cannot get to it to open it and since I just changed a cartridge when the problem happened it is only logical to think I might not have it snapped in. What now? Thanks for any assistance.

After going through the on/off thing for a while, I noticed that most of the paper in the loader had been sucked in and assumed that might be the problem. I thought that would explain the bad sound too. I also unplugged the printer while it was off for a couple of seconds and the problem went away. Hope this helps someone.

How can I use non-epson ink cartridges in the Epson printer?

Yes and No. Non branded ink cartridges need to be properly programed to work correctly. If you are going to buy non branded, make sure you can trust the seller. Research the seller and you should be ok. Branded is always the best but also always more expensive and non branded always comes with a degree of risk.

My printer is not recognising the replacement ink cartridge although I've used these before many times

If you have just installed a new cartridge and you still see an ink related error, the cartridge may be incorrectly installed. Follow these steps to make sure the cartridges are correctly installed:

  1. Make sure the Epson Stylus is turned on.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • If your printer indicates that an ink cartridge is expended, press OK.

    • If your printer does not indicate that any ink cartridge is expended, press Setup, select Maintenace, and press OK. Then select Change Ink Cartridge and press OK.
  3. Open the scanner.

  4. Open the cartridge cover.

    Caution:

Never attempt to open the cartridge cover while the print head is moving; wait until the cartridges have moved to the replacement position.

To avoid damaging the Epson Stylus, never move the print head by hand.

  5. Press down all the ink cartridges until they click into place to make sure they are properly seated.

    Note:

If a cartridge is properly seated already, you may not hear a click.

  6. Close the cartridge cover and press it until it clicks into place.

  7. Close the scanner.

  8. Press OK to begin charging the ink. This takes about 2 minutes.

You see a message on the display screen when ink charging is finished.

    Caution:

Never turn off the Epson Stylus while the ink is charging or you'll waste ink.
If the issue persists, it appears to be an issue with the cartridge(s). Contact Epson for further assistance.

Please tell me how do I change the ink cartridge in my Epson TX650?

    1) Looking at the front of the printer/scanner there is an indent on the left hand.

    2) Lifting up on this portion should reveal the inside of the printer.

DO NOT touch the flat cable inside the printer, DO NOT force the lid, it should open easily.

    3) The ink cartridge is underneath the plastic cover in the back right-hand side of the printer. Gently pull up on the cover until it swings open.

    4) pinch the clips holding the ink cartridge in the printer and pull up.

    5) Unpack the new ink cartridge.

    6) Remove the tape that is on the ink cartridge.

(If you forget this step the printer won't print. If that happens, remove the new cartridge, remove the tape and then reinsert the cartridge)

    7) Insert the ink cartridge and push gently until it clicks into place.

    8) Close the cover over the ink cartridges, and then close the printer cover.

    9) Follow any direction on the front display (hit OK)

I HAVE NO INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPENING THE CARTRIDGE COVER ON MY EPSON rx595 PRINTER AND CHANGING THE CARTRIDGES.

    5. Remove the cartridge from the package, but be careful not to touch the green chip on the edge.
    6. Remove the yellow tape from the bottom of the ink cartridge.

Caution: Do not remove any other labels or seals, or ink will leak.

    7. Insert the new ink cartridge into the holder and push it down until it clicks into place.
