You first need to get the driver for your usb drive, since it was not installed by default then. On lg website, you will probably find it. Otherwise, there a many website where to find it. Here's one:

You have to go into your BIOS and select booting from Disk not hard drive when i say disk i mean either the cdrom or dvd disk players attached to your motherboard. also you can get a boot disk to try that at the link below.

Seagate external harddrive with windows 98 OS

Remove (or take to your local computer shop) the Win 98 hard drive from the computer.
Put this drive in an external USB drive enclosure.
Plug this enclosure into a Windows XP vintage computer.
Copy the data to this computer.

Save Win 98 drive for posterity!

UNless you are using Windows 98 or Windows 95, a USB key will be detected as a hrad drive when connected to the system. You simply copy the files using MY Computer or Windows Explorer to the USB drive. When finished, the files are on the drive, and you can take them to another system.

You can also open the file, then use the SAVE AS function to select a different location (The USB drive) and copy the file that way.

If you are using windows 98, you'll need a software driver for Windows 98 to recognize a USB drive. The drivers are made by the USB drive manufacturer

I just bought a usb2.0 Flash Drive and I don't know how to use it in my computer what are guides to follow?

Just plug the drive into your USB port, Windows will detect it and install the software.
Open Windows Explorer and you will see it listed as a removable device. It will probably need to be formatted first, but Windows will advise if this is needed.
After that, you can use it like it was a hard drive, just copy and paste files to it.

How is transfering Data and information from my computer into 1GB USB2.0(Data Traveler) done?. How do I start and how do I connect the USB2.0 on my computer to begin the transfering?. I am asking this...

FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT FLASH DRIVES

USB (Universal Serial Bus) flash drives are high-speed, high-capacity memory devices designed for long-term data storage and easy transport among PCs. The host PC treats the device just like a drive, so you can transfer files of all types to and from the device. Because the device emulates a drive, it supports any type of file, including audio files (such as MP3s) and graphics files (such as JPEGs [Joint Photographic Experts Group] and BMPs [bit map]). In addition, USB flash drives can easily support applications, CAD (computer-aided design) drawings, and a wealth of personal information you'd rather not leave on any particular PC. Even so, most USB flash drives are smaller than a pack of gum and can easily fit onto a key ring.

Years ago, users often referred to the practice of using floppies to transport files among PCs as sneakernet. Because USB flash drive manufacturers designed these devices for transport among PCs, their increasing popularity has given rise to a "new sneakernet."
