Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV

Green status light keeps blinking after lamp replacement

After replacing the lamp in my Mitsubishi WD 52525 52 inch DLP television the green status light keeps blinking rapidly. I have pressed the reset numerous times, holding from 10 to 30 seconds. Unplugging the set for 30 to 120 seconds. I have removed and replaced the lamp assembly. I also cleaned the filter, the fan switch seems to be functioning as is the lamp compartment switch.

Same problem. After replacing the bulb, the green light would blink really fast and sometimes stay off for about 2 seconds. I remember reading somewhere that it can be tricky to get the electrical plug from the TV to plug into the lamp housing correctly/completely when reinstalling the lamp assembly. I completely removed the lamp assembly and reassembled the TV just to see what the symptoms would be. Same result with no lamp; fast blinking light with maybe 2 sec. pause and sometimes the speakers would pop very faintly. I think the bulb assembly isn't plugging in all the way. There is plenty of slop on the TV side of this electrical plug. Good Luck and thanks!

I replaced bulb thinking that was problem but it did not do it. I removed rear cover and seen fan was caked with dust so I removed fan cover and fins were completely clogged up. After cleaning what should I do next?

Continuous blinking green light indicates that the capacitors have failed on the DM pwb. You need the V26 DLP DM repair kit which is available at the following link under their repair category.

It sounds like either the inverter board or lamp are the problem. I would sway more towards the inverter as when the lamps die they normally do it properly.

I have an 55 inch Emerson TV, it would not come on it make a buzzing noise, what could that be.

This is most likely a part that has failed in power supply. If you have the time and expertise you can take it apart and troubleshoot and repair it. You need special gear and soldering ability, if you don't have the time, you can order a new power supply and put it in, you can also call for a service technician to come out. THis is not cheap to have service come out. With a television that large though, you don't have a choice. IF YOU decide to move it to a shop, you CANNOT lay it flat!! The screen will bounce like a trampoline and it will break.

Back - light problem. If the back-light type is CCFL lamp, check all the CCFL lams for weak emission. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

MY dstv DSDD 1132 decoder is flashing red and green lights but yellow light is steady. tv is black and remote not responding

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device, in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

My sony wega kf-50E200A tv keeps turning off. during each cycle the green light blinks 42 times and the tv comes on again for about 3 minutes and it happens all over again

More than likely the power supply is defective, but without testing and the repair manual that is just a guess, you make the decision to replace or repair the TV.
