Green status light keeps blinking after lamp replacement

After replacing the lamp in my Mitsubishi WD 52525 52 inch DLP television the green status light keeps blinking rapidly. I have pressed the reset numerous times, holding from 10 to 30 seconds. Unplugging the set for 30 to 120 seconds. I have removed and replaced the lamp assembly. I also cleaned the filter, the fan switch seems to be functioning as is the lamp compartment switch.

Same problem. After replacing the bulb, the green light would blink really fast and sometimes stay off for about 2 seconds. I remember reading somewhere that it can be tricky to get the electrical plug from the TV to plug into the lamp housing correctly/completely when reinstalling the lamp assembly. I completely removed the lamp assembly and reassembled the TV just to see what the symptoms would be. Same result with no lamp; fast blinking light with maybe 2 sec. pause and sometimes the speakers would pop very faintly. I think the bulb assembly isn't plugging in all the way. There is plenty of slop on the TV side of this electrical plug. Good Luck and thanks!

I replaced bulb thinking that was problem but it did not do it. I removed rear cover and seen fan was caked with dust so I removed fan cover and fins were completely clogged up. After cleaning what should I do next?

Continuous blinking green light indicates that the capacitors have failed on the DM pwb. You need the V26 DLP DM repair kit which is available at the following link under their repair category.

Hi, have you replaced the lamp after 2-3 yrs of usage? The lamps used by mitsubishi tend to last around 4000 hrs 1-3 yrs.It is common for the green light to light up.Other common failures are the ballast which is the board that powers the lamp. Also check if its not overheatin, dust out the fans.Heres where u can get the lamp or ballast http://www.discount-merchant.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=wd-52631

Mitsubishi 73 inch. green light blinks for a few seconds then the status light stays on. can hear a clicking noise when the green light is blinking. Replaced the lamp and that does not fix anything.

Mits has had an excessive number of problems with color wheels in some of their optical engines. Provided you replaced the lamp with OEM parts I would suspect the color wheel is causing the noise as well as the shutdown issues.

Mitsubishi 62" dlp wd-62525

The lamp is either defective, not connected properly to the wiring or plugs (careful alignment required on the two connections), wrong type bulb, or the front panel is not replaced properly to trigger the panel sense switch (lower right side of panel)
