Acer L100 will only start in safemode when I press the F8 key, switches off if I try normal mode

Check your documentation; that may be a safeguard because there is a problem or corruption in Windows, so it auto-starts in safe mode so that you can troubleshoot. I am just guessing. Safe mode loads only the bare essential drivers to get Windows running, all peripherals are blocked because one of them is crashing Windows. I am just guessing, so check your manual that came with the computer. What you can do is a system restore to an earlier date; hopefully that will take care of it.

I have an Acer Aspire AM3910-E2512. I moved recently and now the computer won't boot up. It keeps trying to 'repair disc' but it ges for hours. I opened the side and there is one set of wires that

That is typical to have extra power connectors not plugged in. The PSU will have extra connectors in case you add other peripherals. Most likely you just have a corrupted operating system. A system restore if you have the disc would be the easiest way to repair this. However you will lose your data. If you have the restore disc they typically will have some repair utilities to try and fix the corruption.

My acer aspire m1640 will not boot up and you dont get the acer screen, the blue power light is on dvd drive working and the fan is working fine. if you could give me any information what may cause this i...

This usually happens when the 'Operating System' (OS) software is corrupted or freezes due to failure in updating.
Any way to over come this problem is
1. Restore the system, to restore the system you need the 'Operating System' cd, insert the cd and it will auto boot to the installation process.
After few minutes you will be asked with few options like 'repair' 'restore' etc, select the restore option and the select a restore point and the system will do the rest and restarte the system.

2. You can also try cleaning the ram; open up the cpu cabin carefully and remove the ram (fig-1) from its slots and take a eraser (rubber) and rub smoothly the copper edges (both sides) of the ram now place the ram back (IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE RAM IS INSERTED IN THE CORRECT POSSITION)

This will fix your problem.

I got to turn on my laptop and it boots to the log on password screen then it freezes and reboots itself, then repeats the same process over again. it is an acer aspire 4220, running vista home basic.

Boot your recovery cd and choose the language, then on the second page , select repair options. Then on then next page, select system restore. Pick an earlier date restore point, and let it finish. It should restore it to where it was working.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe
