hi Aaron,

please check power button,
bridge rectifire,
bleeder resistor or big cement resistor closed to power input area,
smoothing cap charged to 300v (i assume your power grid is 220v),
when you plugged in and it is not discharging for few min.that means power supply not starting up.
check the power supply bord for any phisical damage burn marks etc...please do the check and come back.

Well we had a power outage today and when the power came back the computer went back on but instead of starting up windows the blue power button flashes. but the fans and components inside the computer...

if there is no post sound (beeps) and the pc does have a speaker you can try this first.

remove the power cable
hold the power button in for 15 seconds to clear the residual power.
replace cord and power on

if you still have the same result, then you need to learn how to reset the bios/cmos on your system.

After a power outage my dishwasher has a "Er" code. I downloaded the manual and it says nothing about that specific code. Please help! "Er" code GE Profile Dishwasher GSD4930X66WW

the er means error. you may have a damaged control from the power outage. try to turn the power off to the unit for 30 min then put it back on. see if it resets it.

My computer will not turn on

many, not all, psu's will internally tripo after this happens. how to reset:
1 if it has an on/off button turn off for 1 min and turn on.
2 if it has no button but has a 110/220 switch, unplug it then switch to 220 then back to 110 (also this may be 115/230 or even 120/240)
3 if it has neither of these, unplug it for 10 mins, then replug it and start up.
also when you opened the case did you smell anything funny? if so i would say that the mobo and/or cpu are done for. i doubt this tho because you had them on a surge, but it is possible.
1 more thing when you opened the case did you by chance knock a wire loose from the mobo?(motherboard)
after re reading your post i question whether the surge strip is good, because you said it was tripped and yet you had the posu light on. or did you mean a light inside the case of the computer itself?
if none of these suggestions help you please re post with answers to the questions i asked thanx and hope i have helped.

We had a power outage - the computer was on a circuit breaker outlet. The other computer came back on, but the one with the siverstone power supply will not start up

Hmmm, First of all check the fuses if any that may have burned out due to the power outage. If this doesnt help. Open up the power supply and smell it for any burned out parts. If you can smell the scent of burned electrical parts then you should replace the power supply. It should solve your problem. Also check the motherboard for any anomalies.

We had a brief power outage--now prinker knunks

In all probability that Power Outage caused a massive Spike or Surge on your power line. This has affected this unit. It doesn't take much to cause this type of thing and is quite common. It may be repairable, however these days buying a new one is often a better option. If you do go the repair route, go to a reputable place, & please ensure you get a firm "Quote" not an "Estimate" for repair.
