Machine went bang mid cycle and tripped electrics. If power is sent to the machine it immediately goes bang and emits a burning smell. What is wrong with my machine?

One possibility is that water leaked into the wiring and shorted it. There may be an access panel in front that you can remove to look for signs of leakage.

My Indesit IDL40 dishwasher, loud bang with slight burning smell but still working?

Any burning smell is not good. Indicates that something in there is too hot and perhaps melting something. Could even catch fire......

Could very well be that whatever is responsible for the noise can be causing the problemo.

Dishwasher not working

The motor may be burned out or there may be another electrical issue which would also cause the symptoms you describe. Call around and try to get an estimate, and at the same time look at new ones on sale.............one question is how secure will u feel with that maching......now that it has acted up like this.

Our Hoover HD98E Dishwasher stopped working properly today. After a while the machine stops during the power spray cycle and just buzzes as though the pump is powered but not spraying. Is this the pressure...

its possible that your timer has a bad contack at this spot the machine stops but the drain valves open try advancing the timer one notch to see if it will work if yes relace the timer thanks from gilles

Try checking the water level, and level switch? Is the outlet hose high enough of the floor? If you tip the machine back you should see one or two clear plastic tubes, take one end of these and blow through them and the do it the other way round.

Noisey dishwasher

Noise may be coming from faulty parts, but it also may be caused by improperly loaded dishes; check your owner's manual for proper loading methods. Next, when the dishwasher is completely cool, look in the openings around the pump at the bottom of the dishwasher's interior; be sure no implements or hard debris such as bones, fruit pits, or silverware are stuck in them. Be sure your dishwasher is sitting level. Adjust the feet beneath the unit by screwing them up or down. If there are lock nuts on the feet, make sure they are tight. A thumping or chattering sound during the filling cycle usually indicates that the inlet valve needs to be replaced. Unless you're handy with this sort of repair, this is a job for a repairperson.
