Bosch WFLI 2440 Front Load washing machine stopped working

The washing machine stopped working before a spin cycle, and the water was not draining away. I think it might be the filter is blocked, but I can't get the filter out. How is it supposed to come out? Is this the problem, or is it something else?

Thank you for your answer. Trouble is, the cap won't budge. Tried with a wrench and the plastic broke :-(

Filter is probably the problem. the round cap unscrews and then just pull filter out

You are faced with brute force and replacing the parts you break. should just pull out and reason it won't may be a foreign object jamming it - usually a bra wire

Will not spin on any cycle

Hello.

If your washer is indeed a WFL2066, than the not spinning is directly relatedto the unit not draining.

These machines by design cannot spin if the drain is inadequate.

Here is the first step in resolving the problem, you need to access the drainpump/filter to clean it.

To reach the filter and clean it...

**Unplug the washer from the dryer or wall, or turn off the 30amp breakerat the home service panel...safety first**

1) Open the small square plastic door at the right bottom of thewasher.

2) Via the small hose drain any access water from the pump...this is where awet/dry shop-vac comes in handy, or a shallow pan with a few towels works a swell.

3) Then turn the pump insert/button trap counter clock-wise and pull out.Clean the trap out thoroughly running it under hot water and mild soap or your washer detergent and inspect inside the pump for any other foreign objects/obstructions.

4) Re-install the lint trap insuring it is good and snug/tight. Before closing up the small access door, run a short rinse spin cycle to check frleaks.

Let me know how you make out, or if you require further assistance.

Programme does not run - water in drum won't drain

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
'....water in drum won't drain'

I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Following are my complete and hopefully 'coverall' pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Machine just stopped mid cycle, didn't spin, won't

If these actions have not cured the problem, it could be the control board OR the main motor. Motors will show weaknesses when commanded to spin.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.

The drum has stopped turning so won't wash or spin.

Remove the motor and check the brushes, if they are less than 3 or 4mm long, replace them.

Remove the dispenser from the m/c, and thoroughly strip and clean every part. fill the conditioner compartment with water to the top, and the water should syphon away to leave it empty.
Get a piece of thin stiff wire , make a hook on the end, and poke it into all the holes you can see in the top of the conditioner compartment, this will unblock any that are clogged up.
Should solve your problem

Bosch classixx 1000 washing machine - stops on spin

Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x
