II have an X2Gen MG19VT 19" LCD

I have the exact same monitor and problem, I moved my monitor to a different room, and now the monitor wont register the power supply. It worked perfectly before. The AV adapter light is pulsing green like normal. Should i replace the power cable? or is it more likely something broken on the inside of the monitor itself.

You will need to check the power adaptor for voltage , if that checks out then you will have to check the power circut in the monitor, look at the protection component and diodes in the power circut

Black screen

Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Screen goes black but power light stays on

Hello. I had the same problem with my X2gen 19" (model MW19R)monitor. In my case, the monitor would turn off after 20 seconds or so but the blue power light would stay on as well. I had to replace a high voltage capacitor located in the backlight power supply board. There are 4 blue capacitors on the board which are identical and they are marked as 27J 3KV. Fortunately, I only had to replace one of these capacitors ( it was turning a yellowish brownish color ). Hope this helps.
