No just pop of the back tray and you should have access to it from there. Make sure though to unplug your Printer and your printer need you to reset it.

Has paper jamed in machine can not acess paper though any of the openings can see the paper though front bay it is jamed in between front rollers.

Not seeing this machine, if the drum can be taken out this can help.
If nothing can be taken out, be very careful when attempting to pull the paper out. Paper can scratch the surface of the drum and can pull stripper fingers out of place. Also there may be mylar fingers in place that may be bent or broken off causing further jams.
Using long pliers might work.
More description of this area needs to be given in order to pull this paper out. There might be other internal parts that need to be checked in order to keep this type of jam to occur again.
If al else fails place a service call by a copier service representative.

The problem is a paper jam

If it says there is a paper jam and there is no paper jamed. Then try opening and closing any compartments on the printer, this resets faults like a "paper Jam".

202 pam jam

usually it means that a sensor in your fuser is bad. If you have a P.M. Kit replaced the fuser and clean the printer.

but before you do, make sure that you have cleared all jams, including in the fuser.

Its probably time for a Preventive Maintanence

  3. Check for paper jams.

  5. Press Power to turn the All-in-One back on.

Paper Jam

Open all the doors and remove any removable assemblies. Use a flashlight and some compressed air to try to locate the paper shard.

Different kind of paper jam....

Hello I have an x6170 when I go to print the paper is going in side ways, crumbling the paper. I did not do anything different from before. I tried taking it apart but I do not see any screws or if it is just snap in I would like to see the assembly manual so I can open it...maybe fixing it.
Please HELP

Lexmark 5400 series paper jam

As several previous posts said there was a pieces of paper folded up inside. Per a previous post remove the sheet feeder rack. At this point I removed the two outside screws (of the three) on the backe. After this the whole top lifts about 3/4 inch (19mm) to give your fingers more room to clear it. Looks like she will print another day.

Thanks for the tips on here.
