Hi...
On some stereo gear the headphone jack interrupts the speaker connection when the headphones are in. you "might" have something broken in the headphone jack which is keeping the speakers from turning on.
Is there a MUTE switch on the unit?
Or an "External speaker off" thingy in the menu?

My Logitech X530..only the front -left speaker works. Thank you.

Sounds like you have not plugged it in correctly! Have you connected the 3 mini plugs from the speakers into the adapter and then the 2 phono leads into the other end of the adapter and then the 3.5mm headphone jack into your device?

The sound in my player is very faint, you can hear it playing softly, but thats with the volume turned all the way up. i re-hooked all the cords & wires and still can't get that great sound back....

Have you been using the headphone jack a lot?
If so, the contacts may be bent and not turning the speakers back on as they should..

Put a headphone pug back into the jack to see if there is good volume there or not.
If not, Houston, you have a problem.

Do you have a Speaker Selector switch on that unit?
If so... turn it off and on a few times in case of a bad connection.

Are you sure that the speakers are connected to red and black and not to black and black by mistake?

try another speaker to see what happens.

My system is stuck on (c2) headphone and I can not any sound, unless I put the headphones in.

Hi Steve,
This is an indication of faulty earphone jack, this is where the headset directly hooked up. See sample picture below.

jdvillanueva_20.jpg

When the you hooked up the headset to this jack, internal switch will released the contact to cut the audio goes to the main speaker out of the unit. Once you pulled out the headset plug, the audio will back to the main output speaker out through this switch.
In your cased, there's a malfunction in the internal switch of the earphone jack that's you haven't sound output at the main speaker out.
You may spray contact cleaner directly to the earphone jack while inserting and pulling out the headset plug to clean the lead. If the symptom still persist, you must replaced it with new one to back the unit in normal operation again.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!

When I plug my headphones they don't work. Sound still comes from the speakers except the subwoofer.

It sounds like you're not plugging it in far enough. Headphone jacks have a mechanical interlock that disconnects the speakers when the jack is seated all the way.

No sound coming from headphones using my dj mixer. however through speakers sounds fine. Im using 2 pioneer cdj 1000 mk3 and a djm 800. The sound works perfectly through speakers. how ever nothing through...

hii there, pls try to use another headphone on your mixer, if you get the same problem. It means your headphone have no problem. Problem is with the the jack of your mixture. Open your mixture and check the jack properly attached internal.

Can i use headphones on a lg HT503PH sound surround system

From viewing the user manual, I would say the jack in question is an input jack not an output jack.

Here's the manual:

Adding Spaekers

If it's an original 321 system (series 1) then it has an audio output on the back. (via RCA jacks) You would still need an amp or receiver to connect the speakers to.. (unless they're powered speakers)
If it's a 321 series II or 321 series III- it does not have an audio output.
If the system has a DVD tray right in the middle of the media center, then it's a series 1.
Otherwise, you'd have to get a 1/8 splitter to come from your Mac's headphone output. (still- you will need an amp/receiver or powered speakers to have both 'rooms' playing the same thing from your computer)

Can i hook a surround sound to my zune

It is usually as simple as getting a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack to RCA adapter, like this one:
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3359117 (this will work just fine, even though it says 'ipod')

Or they have "Zune Ready" adapter kits, like this one:
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3004031

Once you have the cable, you stick the headphone plug (3.5 mm stereo mini-phono) into the headphone jack on your Zune, then you insert the red and white RCA jacks into an open input on your surround receiver... most have an auxilliary input jack set on the front of the unit. All you need to do at this point is select the "aux input" for the source on the surround receiver, start your Zune, and make sure the volume on the Zune is somewhere in the 50 - 75% range, and you should be good to go.

Bose 3-2-1 to a computer?

If I understand the question right are you trying to hear sound from your computer through your bose system? If you are then you need to hook a 1/8 mm headphone jack style cable on one end to the headphone jack on computer and on the other end of the cable you need a standard red and white rca type connection that hooks to back of bose system for sound. This cable is called a mini to rca stereo cable the pin connection for the computer has 2 little black bands around the plug there are 2 bands for 2 channel stereo sound.
