Question about Compaq Presario 5000 PC Desktop
I have an old computer I want to give away to my child's pre-school. I went to get on it and take off my very old stuff, but when attempting to log in, I had the problem of a forgotten password???
I thought there was a jumper on the mother board that can be moved to remove the password protection scheme, and I can't remember how to do it nor can I find an online manual. Compaq gave me the boot due to how old the PC is. What do you recommend as a solution whether it be a jumper or some other means to get around this problem???

Hello, i think you want reset CMOS
1. You can remove battery on mainboard turn PC on then off install battery.
If you see there slot with three pins and two of them are connected with connector remove connector turn on PC then turn off PC set connector.
