I recently bought Acer Aspire 4530 but the camera is not working. the camera is black and it doesnt open even if i change setting regarding brightness and all.
I even downloaded Bison 2.0.01.7 and Suyon 2.0.8.1 drivers but when i install those - even it didint work.
When I sign in yahoo msn - then it shows view my webcam but the cam is black.
Please help me

Hello
Enter here: start-settings-control panel-administrative tools-computer management-device manager. If you see yellow marked questions these a drivers are not work you need to update them. You can do it by internet if you haven`t got CD disk.

The problem with this webcam on this unit is not the driver But the hardware wire .
The webcam gets has a connection on the left side at the bottom side of the screen.
And this connection is a bit loose and has to be replaced

- You have to on screw the plastic plate around the screen first this is done by 6 screws around the screen and on the left right side you wil see the white connector i am talking about if you just touch this connector most of the time your webcam and usb devices will start working.This is a vive wired connector.May 03, 2009

This has just happened to me. I looked high and low for the driver's software until I found one that works.
It is called DEBUT VIDEO CAPTURE software, download it and fire away.
By the way, Bison package is a device driver not the software.

Aspire 5920 has same problems, camera operated for a short time then had problems trying to open, then finally the program opened but only have a blank screen no picture.

when i first bought it, it was working but it doesn't anymore and i tried downloading so many drivers from diff websites, but none worked. please please help.

Exactly the same problem. Mine is also ASPIRE 4530. It used to work and all of a sudden it stopped working. I even reloaded my VISTA entirely formatting the existing one. Reloaded the drivers nothing worked.
