Loud crackling sound followed by A/V Loss

Recently my Pioneer Elite Pro200 has been losing A/V after a loud crackling sound, but if disconnect and restore power it works again. I know it's only a matter of time before it will not recover. Please help!

Ronnie ...I knew it was the main power supply that was cutting out, but I'm curious if you or anyone else knows if there's a relay that engages the main power supply? I know there's a pre amp that keeps the circuitry warm even when it's off, but I'm not sure how or what clicks the main power supply on. When the A/V loss happens the red LED that indicates that the TV is off is lit like it should be, but there's no way to restore power unless you unplug the TV. When you plug the TV back in the red LED lights up again as it should, however now when you hit the Power button you hear the normal click and the picture comes back.

I appreciate your time and interest in helping.

the power supply is xoldered to the main board and to my knowledge there is no certain way of testing it without a proper amp meter.

What can I do to stop the crackling noise on my celestial television

Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and precious time.

Crackling sound on my amplifier

If you have good clean, loud sound with your LP player and not with your PC, your PC is causing the noise. Most PC sound cards are not very HiFi in their sound and it is quite evident when listening to a PC via a HIFI sound. Now, you can not use the headphone outputs to your Pioneer, you must use the LINE OUT jack, set as line out in your computer. There is a signal level mismatch if you use your headphone outs, distorting your Pioneer. Try LINE OUTs or buy a HiFi rated sound card.
