My K40 unit keeps beeping 2X every 10 seconds or so.. It still goes off when radar is present but it wont stop beeping. any insights would be helpful

the on board diagnostics is telling you the rear sensor is bad or disconnected

check the sensitivity on the unit and turn it down it's picking up everything when the sensitivity is wide open

took it to shop, the module was disconnected

First, the K40 Calibre isn't a terribly good radar/laser defense system no matter what K40 claims. I would rate its radar detection capabilities as fair, and its laser jamming capabilities as poor. But on to your problem. Call K40 and see if they can talk you through any specific procedures which they have. It appears that your Bluetooth remote and the RD are not properly synced. Its best if K40 talks you through the resolution.

if the beep is one beep every 30 secs then the front radar detector is defective. If it beeps 2x every 30 secs the rear radar detector is defective. If under warrantee you are good. If not, take to any dealer and cost $225 to get it replaced.

My unit has the same difficulty, I sildered a headphone speaker into the radar detector and it works

I too had the same problem and called their customer service. They told me 1 chirp means a front receiver fault, 2 chirps means a rear receiver fault. They suggested I check the wiring and to switch the front receiver with the back receiver to see if the error code would "travel" with it to determine if the receiever was faulty. I did that and the problem went away. I assume I had a connection that loosened up.
