The LCD Screen is white, but it alslo won't take any pictures. Is it shot?? :(

- My screen went dead a couple years ago and I was still able to use the camera. When I changed the batteries I would press menu/ok button a bunch of times and then be good to go - not having a clue what I was okaying due to the screen being dead.
