My sony vaio laptop when upgraded from visata home basic to windows 7 ultimate , few of its function /short cut keys not operating , pls Help

windows 7 cannot be updated to another type of windows 7 without purchasing a new *********** for that version and then downloading updates.
Option2, reinstalling windows using an ultimate disc rather than a basic disk.
If you have a key for ultimate you would change your *********** and then manually start update service.

You can download the Microsoft virtual machine or another VM system.

After install make a virtual hard drive on your VM machine of at least10 gig. Then add your DVD/CD rom drive to the VM and put yourinstall CD/DVD in the drive. Set VM machine to boot from CD.Install on VM hard drive from within the VM machine, Type in KEY code,Bam! you now have a win xp VM!(Note: Games and stuff may not work in the VM as they do not use your video card but a virtual video card that is pretty limited!)

You mean Ultimate has these problems?
Try checking all the drivers. (Manufacturer Site)
Install all Windows® Updates, Incl. Service Packs

Go to the Sony web site. Go to support, and download drivers for the hotkeys. It sounds like the upgrade did not pick up all of the OEM features.

Are you sure prog loaded, I ask because if you are upgrading from prem7 64 to Ultimate32, it should fail to load? You must have installed Ultimate 64. Apart from the blue tooth is it running OK??

You need the Win7 camera driver, check sony support at:

just enter your Win7 operating system (there are 9 versions of Win7), and select the downloads (2)
for your computer camera driver.

i believe it is a charger issue not a battery issue replace your charger

i assume you upgraded the operating system to windows 7 ultimate using a retail copy of disc.
vgnfj270/b only supports windows xp and vista home basic.

• this model of vaio doesnt have a camera driver and software for windows 7 ultimate. check this link

If you have a full version of Windows Vista Ultimate, you can just insert the DVD when you logged in your laptop and go to Computer(My Computer) and lauch the installer for Windows on DVD icon (Double Click DVD icon). It will give you the main window for installing Windows and along the way, you should find an Upgrade option. Click that one and it will install windows Ultimate on your system. It Will not format the laptop but installer will just add system files and features to the laptop to run Vista Ultimate.

**If you haven't purhcase a Windows Vista Ultimate Disc, check this link to to purchase just an upgrade Disc (only) of Vista Ultimate.

An upgrade disc will also not format the laptop instead it will just install additional features and add additional files on the system to run Windows Vista Ultimate
