Re: 2.1 creative speakers.
Speakers need to be used much often. If they are left without using they might get affected with dust and charge storage. It happens with generally every brand. The solution could be either servicing it or generally using it very regularly.

I do also get this same issue, They were working just fine, and 4 or 5 months ago, the right speaker crackles, if i unplug the right speaker all is fine. But as soon as I plug the right speaker in, i get a cracking sound. Have you solved this ussue?
how old is the computer when was it last serviced/cleaned you might have to uninstall the speakers then restart your computer and reinstall them if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers
also it might be a faulty or dusty lead connections and a dusty sound card open up your computer have a look at the speaker connections check for dust and bad connections hope this helps
Hey there, happy new year to you to bud ..Unfortunatly , when it comes to Technical issues like that ,that cannot be resolved by Drivers or something , it is a internal fault , if you open it , you will lose your warranty ...Best option is too take it in too the shop or supplier you bought it from , and ask them to return it..Unfortunatly Creative is common for faults like these.. Have a wanderful Year ANd i hope you come right. Bye :)
The problem is a burned transistor inside the subwoofer. It depends of country's transistor manufacturer. It is supposed to be of a low quality. It's not important for the scope. Mine is knocked down for a year. I saved the electronic schematic diagram and the transistor specs, but lost. I confirmed the cause opening the subwoofer and examine the board. The indicated transistor surrounded area is burned indeed. If anyone find the article in web, please, post here.
you don't a new power supply for that speaker because they all have in the package with the power supply adapter ..all have to do is to plug the adapter to ac power outlet your speaker is gonna be function...
Good day and happy holidays
you have to look at back of your comp, if you has a 5.1 speaker first, like Creative Audigy, live, or X-FI, then according with the cables, colors, must be, Green . black, according for output sound, see manual for the cables and put at back according.
My connection dropped for a second and lost you on the live session. Thereafter I keep on getting errors.
In any case, have you tried: 1. disabling the built-in sound in your CMOS/BIOS? 2. Verify that your Creative drivers are all installed correctly with no red or yellow marks in your Device Manager under Sound, video and game controllers; 3. Are all the connectors/plugs wired to the right jacks. Iknow the sub operates wirelessly but all others are still wired.
Post back pls how things are so we can figure other things out.
