Mine too! It's only been about a year and a half or so and the battery is dead. I'm trying to figure out if it's even worth it to replace the battery or if I should just buy a new scale. My old fashion one lasted about 20 years so this one is quite a disappointment.

I replaced the batteries & put it right side up on the floor.

Tapped on the corner of the scale with my foot and CAL came up.

Tapped again & nothing else apeared!

    What am I doing wrong?

    Appreciate any help!

I just purchased a Conair Weight Watchers ww39 scale online. When I received it I could not get it to turn on at all. I purchase new batteries still nothing!!! I know I will probably just have to send it back but wondered if anyone else was having this problem.

The scales have worked very well for more than two years. Decided they needed a new battery as the display stopped working. Bought a new battery and put it in ok but then nothing. considering taking the back off to see if somehow it has got wet in the bathroom. HELP!!!!

new batteries ,but still reads "o" and 888 alternately

My display also quit working on the WW60 model. I bought new batteries, and replaced the old ones, and nothing.

As to prying the batteries out, they will easily pop out once a small screw driver (or similar implement--e.g. nail file) is used.

I have sent Conair an email--we'll see. Certainly the lifespan of this $60 scale is VERY disappointing.

I had a problem changing the battery too. I just couldn't get it out and was afraid of prying too hard because I might break it. So I called customer service to ask them (a bit extreme) but they basically just told me to take a small screwdriver (I used a hair pin) and pop it out. I tried again by pushing down on the opposite side instead of lifting and it popped right out. The battery is just a small electronic one like in a car's keyless entry controller.

Second request re: taylor lithium electronic scale model 7000 not working after changing battery twice. Yes interested correctly

On Amazon this scale got 24% 5 star and 43% 1 star rating.
In many cases it quit working or broke in some way.
"I owned this model for 1 year before it gave me the "batt" signal. after I spent another $7 on new lithium batteries, it turned out the scale was broken. looking on the web, I discovered lots of other stories like mine. advice: find another brand."

My scale showed Lo, no reading, then I replaced battery, now shows nothing, dead. What do I do next?

The Instruction Book for your scale can be found here:

http://www.taylorusa.com/media/IBs/7506_ib.pdf

Sounds like no power. Check for correct battery replacement; may need to verify that your replacement batteyr is still good.

Battery Replacement

1. Use 3 volt CR2032 lithium battery (as installed).

2. Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the scale.

3. Remove the old battery from the compartment.

4. Place the new battery with the "+" sign up into the battery compartment.

5. Replace the battery compartment cover.

Changed the lithium battery 6 weeks ago it was

Remove the batteries and clean both ends of the batteries with a pencil eraser. Do the same with the contact points in the scale. This should help. Bathrooms are damp, you may want to set it elswhere for reliable use.

I changed the battery on bathroom scale Salter 987

I had the same problem with my Salter 987 scale. Pull the battery out for about 10 seconds and put it back in. Then push the scale once so it turns on. After the blinking stops, push it once more. The scale will now zero itself. After the scale has zero'd itself it may turn off after a brief moment. It's now ready to use normally. If you're standing on the scale when it's trying to calibrate to zero, it will assume your weight is zero. Don't stand on the scale after replacing the battery untill you first complete the steps listed above.
