Question about Computers & Internet
I recently purchased a used Compaq Armada 110 and have Windows XP Pro installed. I installed a Westell card which Verizon recommended. My computer tells me that the connection is excellent but when I try to connect to the internet, It tells me that I am not on the internet. I have tried changing the IP address and uninstalling and re-installing the driver for the card. I have tried letting it find the IP address automatically all to no avail. My card shows a steady red light and a flashing green lignt. Any Suggestions?
You may have an IP address locked into your system.
try to release it and then renew.
Go to a cmd line and type the following:
ipconfig /release press enter
