Garmin Nuvi 1350LMT Nuvi 1350 W map update error

Run the Garmin WebUpdater once more and apply any updates. Consider downloading and installing the lifetime map update to the computer and then use the Garmin Mapquest or Basecamp computer program to send the map data to the nuvi. Overall, it takes a little longer, but is better than trying to download directly to the GPS itself. If you're not having luck, it will probably be wise to contact Garmin Tech Support. It would be wise to mention the funky "once / month" GPS reboot issue with Garmin at this time too.

I bought my eXplorist 100 back in 2005 and cant seem to connect to satelights anymore how do i update it so it will connect?

Hello,

This is pretty simple to get your Megallan working again. GPS'S a lot of times just need update for newest software to have everything work. If you go to
www.magallangps.com and it will give you all the information you need to do this. Also another thing i have my customers to all the time and it works, is if you take a trip down to Best Buy, or another local computer chain near you, most of them from my experience will do it for you for free. So, if you want to just do that, it will make it real easy for you. Thanks Mike, (Megallan Expert)

It sounds like you have an older gps, as I've heard of this problem before. First, check that you don't have any music or pictures stored on your device internally, these take up a lot of space. If you do, delete them and try updating again. If you don't have any media, then check to see if you have an sd card slot on the side, as I believe you can download updates onto a card itself. If none of this helps, then there is a way to reset the gps itself, but you would consequently lose all of your waypoints.

Hi,
Slide power key to left for 8+ seconds, to re-boot,
try holding for 30+ seconds to calibrate
hole in bottom poss, press hole to reboot,

Hard reset ~( data loss )
hold bottom right corner, while you turn it on, keep pressing until you get the message
" do you want to erase all data " say no to test it.
or, yes if it fails again
Re-register it
Re-update it

I have a garmin nuvi 310 which wont pick up satelites the gps software version is 0.00 i need to find out what the proper version is and where to get it and how to install it

Go to the Garmin website and download their Webupdater program. Run it and plug your Nuvi into the PC using the USB cable. It will upgrade your Nuvi firmware and then ask if you want to select other software. Select the one labeled GPS chipset G. After it has finished, make sure you deselect the Nuvi and unplug the cable. The Nuvi will reboot and say "LOADER" and will reboot with the latest firmware and attempt to update the GPS software to v3.0. After it has rebooted, turn it off and then on again. Check the GPS software version. It should be 3.0. If it's still 0.0, then your antenna/receiver is bad and needs to be replaced.

2009 map update not loading

Fixed. Called Garmin. It seems that version 4.90 FW on the Nuvi 350 (which came shipped on my 350) has a bug where it cannot communicate with the Garmin software either to update maps or update FW. Tech from Garmin e-mailed me a patch that I copied into the Garmin folder on the Nuvi itself, via USB and Windows Explorer. I then rebooted it; the patch installed itself which then allowed the unit to communicate with the map upgrade software and all is well. 2009 map update is now installed and the Nuvi is working fine again. Haven't tried upgrading to newer FW yet; will probably leave well enough alone.

try updating via Webupdater even if you've already done so. There seems to be a problem with the update and doing it again seems to fix it. When updating, and it's already updated, there will be an option to reload it. Do it and post the results.

Garmin c510 software update

You don't say if you tried resetting the 510 after the update.

To do a reset remove the grey faceplate trim piece.  Along the right side of the screen there is a reset button. Press the reset button then plug the 510 into a power supply. The 510 should automatically power up and reboot.

It's possible that the update was corrupted when it was downloaded, or there is a problem with the processor. If you can't get your GPS to reboot, your PC wont recognise the GPS and you'll probably have to send the unit out for service.

If you have already tried the reset please rate as "thanks for trying"
