This can be a problem with the mechanic in the camcorder tape traction gears.

Try opening the tape drawer, and inspecting the traction wheels. See if there is any piece of tape stuck in the wheels.

If you cannot see anything abnormal at eyesight, then the camera must be taken apart by an expert and assembled back.

What is ntse cctv camera and pal cctv camera

NTSC and PAL are two major international standards for broadcast television. Because the systems are different, a camera (or a televison) designed for one system may not work with the other. You'll also see this with video tapes: a recording made for one system will not play back on the other. Much of North America uses NTSC while most of Europe uses PAL.

There's also a third system, SECAM, though it's on the way out.

Hello, First of all, which region do you live in? Basicaly, PAL and NTSC are standards for TVs that differ depending on the region of the world. The American continent is NTSC, Europe is PAL, and i'm not quite sure about the specifics of every region, but this information should be easy to obtain. You can go in the config section of your camera and switch the video settings to PAL or NTSC, depending on which you need.
As for your videos, which method are you using to copy your files to your computer? I've got this same camera and the simplest way (as for any camera) is to insert the SD card in your laptop and copy-paste the files where you want them to be. If you don't have a SD card slot, you can get your hands on a USB adapter, or simply try using the provided camera to USB cable and copy the files from the same method, if it allows you to access your files directly.
I hope it helps! Have a nice day!

I have a Samsung SC-D381 Digital Video Camcorder that I would like to tansfer recorded video from to a PC. I bought the IEEE 1394 PC card with the FireWire 6/4 pin cable. I don't know what to do next. ...

You'll need a software able to capture and edit video. Your footage is on tape, right? First, you must have a firewire port on your pc, with the cam properly connected to. Then, all you have to do is make use of a program like Adobe Premiere Pro, Sony Vegas, or even the Windows Movie Makes, and find the capture window/mode/whatever, which will show you a console with play-pause-stop-rew-ff-rec buttons and a little monitor, to see where on the tape you are. Once on the capture console, you'll rewind the tape to the beginning of your footage and press rec ON THE CONSOLE, not on the camera. The software should ask you for a place to save the file and that's all.

Bought a direct dvd recorder Sony DRV-MC10 on Amazon.USA,namely imported from USA to Greece. I can only record fotos on the DVD. When trying to record on dvd through all input connections I get an error...

Yes, the problem with electronics is the US uses NTSC and most other countries use PAL, it changes how the tape head alignes with the tape. You have to insure the device you have is both (most devices are) so try and get into the menu settings and see if you have a PAL/NTSC video selector option. If so change it to PAL.
