Question about Brother NX-400
Check the needle length. My new needle was about 2 mm longer than the orginal which resulted in autothreader not working. I ground off difference from blunt end of new needle and autothreader now works. OR make sure you are using the correct length needle.

The parts for any autothreader are necessarily delcate considering the nature of its task. Check (without thread) to make sure the tongue that passes through the eye of the needle isn't bent a tiny bit causing it to strike next to the ****. Have seen this more than once.
