LG U990 Connection to PC

Hi, I saw your post. Have WIndows Vista. Whilst I can connect to PC using the LG software supplied the only thing it will allow me to do is Synchonise. I can't transfer files such as music, pics and vids. Please advise.

Ive had the same problem with my U880. Ive tried to find out if there are LG phones with software compatible with Vista, & get conflicting answers at 3.

Im reluctant to get an upgrade now, until I can be sure that the software will work. The old one didnt work with Win 98 or XP.

Thanks for the hint, I'll go & try to find a fix via LG :)

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

LG Viewty pc connection problems

I had the same problem. It was caused by the phone waiting for the date to be entered (even though it was already done). To get over the problem click on the multitask icon on the phone (top right). If anything is running other than "Home Screen" and "Menu" click on the application and close it. PC synchronisation should strat to work now.

Cannot connect LG U990 phone to the computer

hi,
unlike nokia phones, Lg's a bit comlicated when it comes to PC suite operations, anyway it doesnt give options for the connections, as a external memory or USB mode. we can find it only by going through PC suite.
For copying, open the contents in PC suite and alternativley select all the files u want to copy and jus drag them directly to contents folders. even i faced the same problem when i tried to copy, paste the items, but dragging is working.

you don't need the CD if you want to access the phone as a mass storage device

go to >
Phone settings > Connectivity > (select) Mass Storage

then try connecting to a pc again. plug the USB cable.

TAKE NOTE than only the external memory (micro SD) is accessible when connected to a PC. and NOT the Internal Builtin memory of the phone

Can not connect using LG Mobile Sync

I have the same problem like everyone else in this forum! here is the solution:

1. The USB modem driver came with the CD may or will not work, so get the latest drivers for it.

2. Before install the new drivers, change your phone setting under " setting -> USB connection -> from MASS STORAGE to DATA LINK.

3. Plug the usb cable to the phone and to your PC, it should do anything or give any message if it does just cancel it for now.

4. Install the new USB driver you just download, while install it will said something like " does not work with XP " just click OK don't panic.

5. After it finished installed you will see by the clock that it find the USB LG blah blah...and ding ding sound if you have sound on.

6. Now go back to LG Sync software and click on Connect & choose LG modem com port whatever it there.

7. You're done !!!

Here the link where to get the new USB driver:

http://it.lgmobile.com/web/web.product.manualSoftwareRF.laf

Yeah the link is all Italian ...don't panic, I couldn't read it either LOL...just click on the picture where you see the phone and the PC with wrap around with arrow, then follow instruction will be in English.

Good Luck!
Keep posting good answer that you find and help out other just like US!
