The Mic In is ususllay at Pin 1 Left and Mic Bias (Sometimes Mic Power/Mic 5V) is at Pin 2 Left.

You should refer to the motherboard diargram.

Go on mic. configuration and select on microphone use from configuration mic. name and test the mic. On test mic not works mic,is posible to need a driver for mic and need download and install the driver.

Your exterior mic MAY have been the one ACTUALLY working rather than the one on the headset. Some mics require a battery for the mic part to work, Not sure about your particular Plantronics. If it has a battery, then check the battery as the receiver part does not use it but the mic MAY use it.

check external mic in another system.
update the bios of the sytem.
update drivers of sound cards

Your Mic input could be muted

better to replace ur mic in your v3i if its not working.....put mic from another v3i...

I GOT THIS TO WORK.

First, make sure ur PS3 system update is full updated.

1) Turn on PS3
2) make sure all the mics were unplugged
3) plug one mic in
4) accessories setting -> audio device
5) select logitech as input
6) plug in the second mic
7) accessories setting -> audio device
8) scroll thru the input device, make sure it lists both logitech, this makes both mics are sync'ed to ur PS3
9) select the FIRST logitech device in input device
10) save setting, restart ur PS3
11) start the game as usual
12) in duet mode, both mics should show, if one is working and the second one doesn't, one forum suggests that u unplug the one that works and replug it while u are still in the menu.

i know this might sound a little obvious and maybe irrelevant to the problem, but did you press the switch on the mic? it will turn the mic on and off. make sure sound and mic are unmuted in windows volume control. if both are these didnt solve the problem, test the mic on another computer. if the mic works, maybe its not the mic that has the problem. if the mic doesnt work, then your mic may be defective or damaged in some way or other.

first u check whether your mic is correct, try to plugin some other pc where mic is working in good condition,

if the new mic is working properly on another pc then

Re install your sound card Driver, and try
