its usely the switches on the drivers door get a switch bundle from the auto wreckers .i dont deal with this enough to know why when the drivers switch wears out it affects both front windows .very common on chevy canyons. < japanease switches. new switches are insanely priced thats why suggest a auto wrecker switch bundle.
Vertical lines are usually caused by 2 things, either your graphics card
is going bad or your screen is going bad. How you check if it is
your graphics card is by plugging it into an external monitor (if you have one). If the lines still appear on the external monitor then you know its the graphics card going bad, which isn't probably worth fixing these days if you take into account how must laptop pricing has dropped. I hope this helps.
Well it must have been pouring hot outside and it must have gotten in to the head phone jack area which leaked in to your system and damaged it.. so you need a new one.. you get get a bundle for a good cheap price 80-90 bucks on criagslist
If you had of stopped trying to get it to work when you knew there was a problem, the repair would have likely been inexpensive and fairly easy to do. It sounds like the capacitors on your power board needed to be replaced. However, since you kept using it until you killed it, the power board likely needs to be replaced. You can get one from viewsonic.com. Email them and get a price. Make sure the monitor is no longer covered by the 3 year warranty. Here's a piece of advice. If your car starts making loud banging noises, don't just keep running it. Have it looked at right away. If a piece of electronics starts acting up, deal with it. Don't just keep trying to make it work or you will ruin it completely. @jitky
If you don't know the difference between a CRT and an LCD you should just stop trying to help people. How you got the rank of "master" is beyond my understanding.
Hi,
You can get another new for around $750.00-+ so it is up to you….first you need to test the monitor so check it and tell me if you place another one does it work? And if you change the driver would it work?...if you need from me to go step by step to check it for you I will be glad and happy to be able to save you money.First to do is to give me all information about your computer is it laptop or desktop, how big and if it is part of the desktop as bundle or separately? Etc. I am going to give you a price comp. to see if it is ok to fix if you can or not.I am available on both hotmail and yahoo using my same id…this is free service included in this post only.Let me know. Please do not forget to rate my service so we can improve on it with your help. God bless
I use searspartsdirect.com. this site has parts breakdowns too. You will just need to check the price. sometimes they charge too much for parts and its not worth it. this is a true Sears website. If this helps, please rate this answer. David
