Question about MP3 & Digital Media Players

1 Answer

My vhs player/recorder will fail to eject, because the tape gets caught around what I would call a capstain post and when I forcefully pull out the tape, the tape hangs up and I have to manually lift the tape up over that post that has it caught. I usually end up with about 1 ft. of tape that is badly wrinkled and sometimes I just ruin the tape. What will solve my problem

Reset the unit by unplugging it/repluggin it after 30 seconds, and then use a VHS cleaner.

I've got some rare 80s movies on VHS that are not available on DVD. I want to transfer these movies to DVD, but my VCR/DVD combo unit will not allow me to burn a copy-protected VHS movie. Is there any way...

as i recall VHS cassettes have a hole on front (where is the label with name of movie ) which disables re-recording over original movie. if that isn`t the problem, you can try with connecting your VCR to PC inputing audio and video cable to PC. requirements for this recording from VCR to PC is that PC has graphic card with audio-video input.

I can't eject a CD using the eject button. I've powered off the unit & restarted, with no luck.

Power off the unit. Under the right corner of the drive tray is a small hole (see pic). Find a paper clip that fits the hole. Straighten the paper clip and slowly push it in the hole. The drive tray gears will begin turning forcing the tray open. Gently pull tray all the way out. Power unit back up and see if it starts to respond again.

I don't know if it will completely fix the issue for sure but it is worth a try. I have had good results using this method if the drive is not truly broken.

Problem with Sansa E280R: ?Load main image failed Switch to recover mode?.

Try this;

Please copy and paste the following links into your web browser address bar, and then click Go or hit your Enter key. When prompted, choose the option to Save the file to your desktop.

http://rapidshare.com/files/67740209/rhapsody-1.0.2.21.zip

and

http://rapidshare.com/files/67740700/sansa.rar

1. Double click on My Computer so that you can see it on your screen.

2. Turn the player off.

3. On the top of the player is a Hold switch, move it to the right (toward the headphone jack) so you see the orange colour.

4. On the left hand side of the player is a Record button, press and hold it while connecting the player to the computer. Continue holding the Record button until you see a new icon under "My Computer" called "16MB FORMAT". Once you see that icon you may release the Record button.

5. Double click the RHAPSODY-1.0.1.47 file you downloaded earlier and open it. You will need WinZIP or WINRAR to "unpack" it. Inside you will see a file named PP5022.mi4 drag this file onto the 16MB Format in My Computer mentioned before.

6. Double Click on the Sansa.rar and open it. Drag the Sansa.fmt file into the 16MB Format as well (this forces the device format and erase all data)

6. Disconnect the player and look at the screen. Several things will be displayed, and when you see Key Lock, System Shutdown, move the Hold switch on the top back to the left.

7. Turn the player on and watch the screen. If you see a Refresh Database Fail error, you will need to follow steps 1-7 again until you do not get the error. If it does not work the first time, it could take up to 3 times for it to work.

Please RATE my solution at the bottom.

Best of Luck.
