Mouse pointer jumps when moving it on screen.

If you are not using a mouse pad, try that. Using the mouse on reflective or glass surfaces. Try another mouse to see if it has the same issues. Check your mouse settings in control panel to make sure everything seems ok. Update mouse drivers. Finally, you can try to uninstall / reinstall the mouse.

I have a Dell 8400 with a wired keyboard and wireless mouse. My computer went into Save Mode and my flatscreen monitor says to press any key on the keyboard or move the mouse to restart. When I do this...

try shutting down, remove power cable, remove memory chips, remove battery on motherboard(coin battery). remove grpahics card from slot(if its the kind you can remove). Now wait 10-15 sec then put in the graphics card, the batter, the memory sticks and close the case plug in the power cable and see if this works!

Iremovedthe stick for the mouse for travel and now

Check your battery in the mouse, make sure it is positioned correctly, plug your dongle into another USB port and reboot. does the computer see the mouse in the USB port, check in the device manager's page...if that fails, uninstall the mouse drivers that came with the mouse and run them once again. One other thing I can think of is some mice have a connect or reconnect on the bottom of the mouse (usually a tiny botton you don't notice unless you are looking for it,) any way push that in for 15/20 seconds....
Good luck, please provide rating...

How to set up and use targus wireless computer mouse model#amw26

Under the mouse there should be a usb stick attached to the mouse which most likely should slide out from the mouse. It also appears that the plastic cover behind the two buttons (this cover has targus written on it) Should come off. After you remove the usb stick there might be a button somewhere on the bottom of the mouse that you should be able to press to get the battery cover to pop up. Then you should be able to pull up on the battery cover and remove it from the mouse. This mouse takes two AA batteries. Once the batteries are installed then plug the usb stick into any of the usb ports on the computer. The computer should recognize the drivers for this mouse (if you are using Windows 2000, XP, Vista, or Mac OS X [or higher]). If the drivers are not immediately recognized then restart your computer and the computer should then recognize the mouse. If this still does not happen then let me know. Also there is software that can be downloaded from the Targus website for the tilt wheel as it has some added capabilities that can be set using this software. The link for that software is here ------> http://www.targus.com/us/product_details.asp?sku=AMW26US

I hope this helps, and enjoy that mouse, it looks pretty nice!

I have an aspire 5315 can somebody tell me why the curser keeps sticking or jumping

Hi lesandlen,

Well, there are a lot of factors that could be involved with your cursor acting up. For starters, could you answer if it is a trackball, optical, or laser mouse? What kind of surface are you using it on? And did it come with a driver CD that you have installed?

Generally, your cursor will move erratically when the sensor that detects movement of the mouse is fed mis-information. If it's a trackball, this can happen when foreign material is caught along the inside wheel sensors besides the trackball. On an optical mouse, it can be similar foreign material interfering with the digital camera's ability to take pictures of your mouse surface. Similar for a laser, but they are much more precise.

Could you provide us with more information? Thanks!
