Sounds like u have a bug in your windows. Get the disk that came with your pc and boot from it

If you are not yet logged in:
Try to completely shutdown the computer and then bring it back up/

If you are logged in:
Can you go to the Desktop and right-click on the taskbar, at the bottom. Click on Show Desktop Icons.

  2. In the sub-menu, click "Show Desktop Icons" to uncheck it.

My desktop icons are highlighted in colors and wen i put a wallpaper the color comes on top of it how to remove it ?


If you want to hide your icons, right click on your desktop(your screen). A window will appear and put your pointer on view. Another window will open and at the bottom you will see "show desktop icons " with a check mark. Click on this and your icons will be hidden. To get them back do it again.

I want an icon for my desktop to display lexmark productivity studio


Go to start, all programs, find the program you want as an icon on your desktop. Right click on it and a menu will come up. Go to send to desktop as shortcut. That should do it.

Accidently deleted my recycle bin icon from my vista desktop


click start all programs navigate to the HP Pavillion Slimline right click on it click send to desktop to create short cut

Desktop icon are missing & display is not


Try to uninstall and reinstall the display drivers. For the desktop icons, right click desktop->Arrange icons by->show desktop icons.

TRY THIS

Right click on the desktop, select the RRANGE icons, and see if it has an option to " show icons" if so, select it and they should come back. If not, we can try other options

How can i get all my icons back on my desktop? i searched for them as (desktop icons) and there they were. can you help me?


ok sometimes this happen and the bottom bar of the screen disappears with the destop icons so go to task manager by clicking Ctrl+Alt+Delete and click on 'New Task' and type in 'explorer.exe' and it should come up. You should do this everytime when you start your computer if the icon disappears everytime.

hi you could try this see if works for you
  1. Click Start | Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Display. Click the Desktop tab.
  3. Click the Customize Desktop button.
  4. On the Desktop Items window, General tab, click the check boxes next to the desktop icons you want to show, such as My Documents, My Computer, and so forth. When you are done,
  5. click OK.
