You can't. Your phone doesn't have an IR Transmitter and your Samsung TV is not a smart television connected to the internet.

Just buy a new Copy Facsimile Remote for the set for about $20.

NOPE scrub all that, this isn't even a television, it is a computer monitor!! No chance for remote control of a computer monitor as it is controlled by the computer is is connected to. single channel single function, just a display of what is went to it.

Sounds like your back lights for the monitor went out.

Normally, horizontal lines on an LCD or LED monitor indicate a bad control board inside the monitor. However, occasionally the problem can be caused by loose or bad cable connections. The only things that you can really do is to disconnect both ends of the monitor cable and reconnect them firmly. Also, you can disconnect the monitor cable completely and just leave the power cable. With only the power cable attached, you can turn the monitor on and off. The monitor should have a "startup screen" or display a message that says something like "Video Cable Disconnected". If the green and pink lines are still present without your computer connected, then the monitor has gone bad. The good news is that Samsung SyncMaster monitors usually carry a 3 year warranty, whereas most monitors only have a 1 year warranty. You may be able to have the monitor replaced at no cost to you if it's less than 3 years old.

its not your system, its the monitor. its probably near its end of life. Well, if its a pretty new monitor. try to change the refresh rate to 75hz

Are you talking about Solitaire or Freecell on Windows? If so, I don't think that you can play these games full screen.

If you have a second monitor, you could use your computer until the monitor goes black... then plug in a replacement monitor. My guess is that one will display black too...

My gut feeling is that your VGA card is on the fritz... I'm not convinced it's your monitor. Do you have a replacement VGA card you can try? I'll bet that'll take care of the problem.
