Wii will start up and run fine but the wii will not reconise any contol. I had sensor bar tested and it is fine. It hasto be in the cosol itself right?

No the sensor bar just recognizes the position of the remote. If it doesn't recognize the remote at all, it may need to be resynced. Turn on the Wii and the remote. Take the battery cover off the remote. There is a small red button. Now open the small trap door on the front of the Wii. Another small red button. press the red button on the remote first. The blue LEDs on the front will flash. Now press the red button on the console. If the LEDs on the remote stop blinking that means it paired up. Will have to do this for all remotes.

Flasing red light

If you've got a flashing red light on your console, it's probably overheated. Make sure you've got plenty of space around your system for it to breathe and it isn't in a location that's hot or enclosed. If you've got flashing red lights on your controllers, that means they're charging or that they're not paired with the system. Press the PlayStation button on the controller to make the flashing stop. Good luck!
