Samsung monitor goes black

If the monitor works on the other computer than the first computer is not outputting a signal and the monitor is going to sleep. Alternately the monitor could have a power issue and it will just shut off after a few seconds. I've seen that happen.

My monitor goes to sleep and doesn't come back on.

For that when you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in enable vga mode .
Then go to display property and set screen resolution to 1024*768 then apply and ok.
if still not work then try safe mode then uninstall graphic driver and reinstall.
When you power up the computer press F8 key untill you see windows logo.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using Fixya.

Delay in Monitor display once the system goes in sleep mode

Instead of sleep mode, tyr hibernate. It is generally faster except the whole computer shuts down. When you power back up, you're exactly where you were. Mine takes about 30 seconds.

Monitor goes to sleep and won't wake up

Yeah, im not sure about how to fix the problem with it shutting down like that, but one option is to go under your control panel and taking off the sleep function, or putting it on a 4 hour timer so that doesnt go into sleep mode anymore. However, the problem is not your monitor but your computer. Id just take the sleep mode off, there is no need to have it on.
