Question about Garmin n?vi 260W GPS
Ever since I have owned my garmin 260 gps, it hasn't spoken the street names. It tells me where to turn and gives good directions, but I can't get it to announce the street names. Can you help?
I had this same problem too. Find the wrench icon and select settings. Scroll through the settings menu and select Language. Select Voice, select the language and scroll again. For English look for American English-Jill(TTS). (text to speech). That should do it. It took a while to find this out. You would think that this should be mentioned in the manual. I suspect there are many returns because people may think this feature doesn't work.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
