Re: installing a DVR
Dear Sir or Ma'am,
Unfortunately to utilize a DVR, it is required that you have current services through Dish Network. (I.e- Pay for programming.)
My suggestion is to call in directly to Dish Network and schedule a technician visit for your earliest convenience to get your services rolling.

Same Place I got one from, Free DVR and setup with a contract. DirecTV was not as good and more expensive. Better Customer Service with Dish Network and the DVR is awesome, best one I have ever used. I sincerely recommend this system. Check them out.
Hi my name is Mike Houston a Social Media Representative at DISH. I see you have a Bose universal remote and you want to program it to your VIP622 DVR. We do not have codes to setup other remotes to our DISH equipment. With our SD/HD receivers they are installed with a DISH universal remote that can control many different components including a Bose system. If you have any further DISH questions please e-mail me at email@example.com
Hello! Dan Busa with Dish Network here. I know you've probably gotten this up and running by now but just for reference to anyone on this site. Any cabling or connectors used to carry signal to the receiver should be rated for 2,150 mhz if this is not the case you will typically get signal loss messages.
Are you still having problems with your TV 2 off the 625 receiver? You have a cable off the back of the receiver, TV 2 Home Distribution. That's feeding to your TV 2 location. You might check to make sure it is secure. You can also see if that cable screws into a diplexer if it is being back feed through the satellite cables. These are all potential problem spots, especially since you said it was working before. I hope this helps.
The problem could lie in youir HDMI cable, this is a common issue. if you swap HDMI cables and still have the same problem then bypass your A/v rec and connect your 622 direct to your tv and see if the problem persists, it it does, then your DVR needs to be replaced, you can call dish for addition troubleshooting if it is in fact your DVR.
if the show that you are recording is also skipping on live tv, then it could be 2 things. it could either be a broadcasting issue (which the broadcasting center at dish network would have to correct on their end) or 2. it could be that your dish needs realigned. also if you purchased the dish dvr through dish network their models are quite often refurbished where they fix old models and send them back out. (most satellite companies do this) contact dish network and let them know you are having a problem, they may replace your dvr and if you have a protection plan they will often replace it for free.
OK, I had Dish network come out and install DVR HD. Had pixel des torsionviewing everything I recorded. They came out 3 time and replace DVR and check everything 3 time with no improvement. I had them remove everything.
I called Direct tv and they did the same thing. installed there dish and cables and DVR. Same problems. My question is? Is this the nature of this equipment or is there something they are missing.
try using a better cable from the receiver to the tv. sometimes less expensive cables dont "ground " as well as they should after a few years. the more shielding the better. the cable here will sell you the cable much cheaper then going to any store and its better quality, even if your not a customer of cable. hope this helps
