Cursure jumps while typing and I'm kicked out of PowerPoint slide show
Recently I've noticed that while typing within different software and e-mail sources, my cursor jumps to a new location on the page. I've read how other people have this problem with bumping their touch pad or changing the sensitivity, but that does not help my laptop.
I've also had problems while giving PowerPoint presentations while in slide show. Without touching the laptop (because I'm using a remote slide changer, that I have used for years with this laptop without problems) it will kick me out of slide show and displays the first slide in the presentation outside of slide show.
Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Some Lenovo touchpads are over sensitive and they cause the cusor to slip or jump around. In Control Panel select Mouse or Touchpad. A box will open and you can locate touchpad Properties and adjust the sensitivity. Lenovo also has updated touchpad software/drivers for one or two of the most troublesome models. i was able to reduce the cursor jumping around quite a bit by adjusting the sensitivity, but i still don't think it's a good design.
Usually one of the key (like F4) will say LCD or CRT under the F8. It will be in a different color. The FN key (or some other key) will also be this color.
Hold the Function key and then press F4 to toggle through the different display combinations.
Yeah after boot up the cooling fan should kick in. If it does not and it is a laptop it will get too hot in there. Thermal Shutdown protection will kick in, if it is equip. If in 2-3 minutes it got so hot reaching its preset temperature shutdown, it will be down to prevent damage to the system.
