MY HP PSC 1600 All-In-One says I'm out of paper. I am not out of paper and I have regular white paper in it as usuall. I have at least 15 sheets in the tray.I checked on the internet and it said to disconnect the power cord for 30 seconds and then plug it back in. Still did not work. I am not out of ink. It did print up an alignment sheet but after that, it would not catch the paper on the rollers so it could print. There is not any paper jammed up in the printer either. It's not a printing problem ' it's your networking' try using the cable provided with your printer via usb' if it prints ok' then you need to reconfigure your printer settings' updates or clean re install.

check the configurations again, if the problem were still there, try with other cartridges.

Bypass the allign cartridge function bu pressand holding settup then press option. The printer will immediately acccept orders.

I just went thru this same problem and I spent 1 hour with HP customer service and we came to the conclusion there is a malfunction with the printer's main sensor. They are sending me a new printer. I also had a problem with making copies and it would only print out 1/4 of the page. I think the sensor is TOO sensitive and if you get a paper jam and you try to pull it out, it creates a problem with the sensor. I suggest two things #1. call HP and go thru the 1 hour and they will determine the same and they will send you a new printer. #2.You can wait, if you have a spare printer, until I receive mine to see if the same thing happens. It could be a defective sensor with this model. I have an older HP PSC 750 and it still works great!

You can't use the photo papers in this kind of printers

You have to open the backside door to clear the paper jam. see how in this link (HP Site)

Make sure you check the settings in the print driver. Sounds like your paper size settings do not match the size of the paper that you are printing onto and you are actually getting a false jam because the machine is seeing a different size paper then you ahve in it.

Hi, most printers usually have rubber pickup rollers that get worn out with time. Usually cleaning the rollers with rubbing alcohol will restore the rollers for a while. Sometimes getting to the rollers takes a long Q-tip but cleaning with a rag is best. Good luck.
