My acer aspire 5315 dvd driver wont work

my acer aspire 5315 dvd driver wont respond and playcdotmy laptop working on my media player it works on my acer arcade but only for a short while then crashes and i have trouble with starting up my windows as it comes up error so im not able to play any dvds i didt receive a disc when purchased

my dvd wonT work when i put cd in it it give a noise and dont deTecT cd or dvd
