Question about HP Color LaserJet 2600n Printer

HP color laser jet 2600n. Shows 51.22 error

Since replacing black cartridge, my printer has consistently been showing 51.22 ERROR, turn off then on. I have turned it off then on, leaving it in between anything from a minute or two to days. It continues to read the same and, of course, doesn't print.

    I have run initialisation several times, each time I switched the printer back on. It makes no difference

The error is with one of the toners, see here: 51.22 Error Turn off then on

Try the following:

  • Remove all toner cartridges.
  • Unplug the printer power cord and wait ten minutes.
  • Plug back and restart the printer.
  • Start and complete the toner installation, installing all toner cartridge, one at time, in the same you did when printer was new, before using it for first time.

It usually fix problems with toner, after toner replacement.

    If the toner replacement did not unlock, then the probably printer must be taken apart to clean residual toner inside the printer, if this is the case , then you should follow HP suggestions and call service.

51.22 Error Turn off then on Error message 51.22 Error Turn off then on Description Magenta laser scanner error. The device has experienced an internal hardware error. Action

  1. Turn off the power by using the power switch, wait at least 30 seconds, and then turn on the power and wait for the device to initialize.
  2. If a surge protector is being used, remove it. Plug the device directly into the wall socket. Use the power switch to turn on the device.
  3. If the problem continues, contact HP Customer Support Center for technical assistance at http://www.hp.com/support/clj2600n or see the flyer that came in the printer box for additional contact information.

    I have hp color laser jet 2600n printer.. but after printing, there have line at the both side left and right on my paper.. the line is about 1cm .. how do i fix the problem.. tq..


    If the lines are predominatly one color such as yellow or cyan then you likely have a bad cartridge. If you recently replaced a cartridge that is the one I would check first. You can also just look at the drum of each cartridge (the green roller under the shutter). If there is a problem it will usually show on the drum as well. Cartridges are the biggest issue with these printers, particularily the poor quality of cheap remanufactured cartridges coming from Asia.

    My Hp Color laserjet 2605 was not working some colors (yellow,megeanta) so how to resolve this problem ? all color tones are new ! i would pinted test page black and cyan was ok


    This is a common problem with this model of printer. The scanner optic degeneration is due to dust buildup on mirrors and lenses. Since the most vulnerable mirror reflects its laser beam to the magenta and yellow toner cartridges, red tones are the first to show fading. Colors shift: purples turn blue and oranges turn yellow. The printer optics will need to be cleaned by a compliant technician to resolve this issue as it means dismantling your printer and cleaning the mirrors and lenses in the optic section to fix the problem.

    51.22 is a Magenta laser scanner error.
    Try removing the magenta restarting the printer and reinstalling.
    If that does not work you likely need a laser assm.
    You might want to call a tech. to replace.
