I need instructions for the Utilitech Mechincal Timer Model #TM09DHBL2 purchased at Lowes.

After plugging in the timer, you need to rotate the black dial (clockwise or counter-clockwise) until the desired setting is lined up with arrow (at about 11 o'clock on a 12 hour analog clock). The choices are On, Off, On at dusk for the desired number of hours (even number of hours), or On at dusk and Off at dawn.

Lowe's has the manual for the Utilitech KLH075 0.75 HP submersible pump on the product site: http://www.lowes.com/pd_240035-84862-KLH075_0__?productId=3880627 . Click on the Info & Guides tab. This is from lowes and it is not pretty, but it has everything on there. It is the original document before being printed on a large sheet and folded multiple times so it has markings for the cuts and folds.

Reset timer using reset button, and then try again.
If timer is defective, then buy another one at Lowes and return defect in new package.

This timer should have a back-up capacitor so that programming is kept in memory during power outage.
Power outage is known cause of timer failure. When power turns on, the surge knocks out electronics.
