My Mitsubhishi 55 inch diamond televison has the timer light blinking. We went on vacation and my husband turned off the tv and power supply. When we came back in a few days and turned on the TV, the Tv would not turn on and the timer light kept on blinking. We have done system reset, turned the TV on and off nothing works. Please help.

Most of the posts on other sites seem to suggest that the DM power board has gone bad. You can either replace the board or some other sites have instructions on how to replace the capacitors. I have a WS-65869 and found out the board is no longer available, so spending the $10 or so on capacitors is my only option.

SOURCE: Mitsubishi DLP, green blinking timer light, tv won't come on,

This Chassis has been known for a slew of Capacitors failing throughout many of the Circuit Boards. The best way in my opinion to fix the set is to send the Chassis Assy to Mitsubishi for them to rebuild it. Some folks have has some success in replacing the bad Capacitors in the Power Supply, the DM Board, and the Format Board to get the set to turn on. These Capacitors are identifiable because the tops of them are bulging up.
It is a difficult set to work on and disassemble, this is Mitsubishi's Customer Service Number in case you need assistance. 1800-332-2119
I hope this helps,
Sky Assoc

Here is how you fix the problem. Turn off the power to your TV for 10 seconds, then turn on. Next, take a paperclip and push in the reset button for 10 seconds, then release and wait until the light stops blinking - may take up to 5 minutes - be patient. Then turn on your TV as normal and your problem will be fixed.

the dlp will most likely need a qualified mits repair center to take over for you. repairing that set is pretty involved. and the parts you would need are not available to the public.
on your 48" CRT projection check the DM module for 4 vented 1000mf 16v capacitors. replacement should get you tv working great
