Question about Bissell SpotBot Robotic Wet/Dry Vacuum

1 Answer

Bissell spotbot: leaking the dirty water from bottom. I took the bottom plate off and there is a really crappy rubber seal. I think it is leaking from there.

I lost the grommet and yes the dirty water just leaks right out now. I am balancing the spotbot on two buckets to catch the leaks when I use it. A PIA temp solution. I am looking into purchasing a new "dirty water tank" unless I can get a grommet and that doesn't seem likely. The new tank appears to be approx. $13.00+shipping vs purchasing a whole new system.

Mine too!! Used to work on Manual Mode, but no longer. What parts need replaced?!?! I took the bottom plate off and all I see is gunk...no clear indication of any seals/gaskets...HELP!!

Yep, me too. I had all these spots on the floor and thought what the heck...turned out to be a leak. Not a happy camper here!

Mine leaks, my son's leaks too. We are looking for new seals and I may just try silicon caulk if I don't get one soon. Meanwhile, I set mine on a towel folded over a few times, then use the manual brush to clean spots. I cannot believe Bissell missed this design flaw. Super product idea, bad manufacturing.

I had the same issue. After some research, I determined I was missing a black "duckbill" gasket on the bottom of the dirty water collection tank.

This caused reduced suction, and for the water to pool at the botom of the spotbot, thus leaking.

I purchased the gasket at Bissell for 1.39. The part number is 203-6646.

I purchased my SpotBot new from Target, and never remember seeing this black gasket, but the difference is night and day.
