Try changing your batteries in your remote, I think the 88 is the room temp. or you have an electric problem! If the battery doesn't fix it ,then try the manufacture spec.and model # on the webpage.

Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire air conditioner, FRA123CV1, cutting off every three minutes and then flashes "#88" then it will go back to the normal setting. Sounds it could be a possible issue within your control panel or power cord. Are you currently under warranty? If so, you might want to reach out directly to the manufacturer to determine the coverage on your air conditioner and the procedures to any potential remedy. I hope this helps to some degree. -Matt
