Mitsubishi WS- 65809 65 INCH

The power in our house went out for about ( 2 ) seconds. This particular TV set was not on. But now the green button on the TV keeps going off. This is the only set with any problem since the outage. How do I resolve this problem?? Thanks in advance....DD

If your TV is not powering on you probably blew the power supply. These TV are sensitive to power surges. Be sure to use a power strip with power filtering technology (different from a surge protector) costing around $80.00

DOES THE LIGHT BLINK IN A PARTICULAR PATTERN?

Jan 31, 2008 | Mitsubishi WS-55807 TV

1 Answer

I have a mitsubishi ws-65315. When I go to turn the tv on the green power light comes on and you can hear the tv click on, but seconds later shuts off.

this model has a self check, when green light comes on and then goes off. Push and hold both the Menu and Input buttons on the front of the set for at least 5 seconds and release both.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks 2 blinks, a pause and then repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means.

I have a mitsubishi 1080 series tv. I turned the tv off and then I went to go turn it on, now the little green light on the tv stays on for 2 sec. and then goes away without the piture ever coming on.

A hint--if the green power light comes on for a few moments and goes off do the self check this set has.

On the front of the set press and hold BOTH THE MENU AND INPUT (OR DEVICE) BUTTONS BOTH FOR AT LEAST 5 SECONDS. Release both buttons and look at the power button.

If this is the case the power light will blink a two digit error code--most common in this case is 2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks--it will repeat the code up to ten times.

Let me know if you find an error code or the power light just blinks and never stops.

If this helped you rate this solution as I do this here for free.

Power went off in house when it came back on the green light on the front panel keeps blinking will not stop Mitsubishi Bigscreen model ws- 65909

I've got a 65535. When this happens, you can sometimes press the On-Off button for 10-15 secs until the light goes off. If that doesn't work, then unplug the tv for 30 seconds or so, then plug back in.
These sets are known to have power supply issues, and the blinking light may be a coincidence to the power supply failure. It's fairly easy to repair if you know how to solder.

TV turns on, then turns itself off about 2 seconds later.

set has a self diagnostic---after set does shut down press and hold MENU AND DEVICE(INPUT) buttons on front of set for 5 seconds----if 2 blinks, a pause and 2 more blinks: this is short protection error code---The set does use 2 Stk394-250 and each is protected by a pico fuse in the power supply---if either fuse is blown the set will shut down(it detects no voltage or missing voltage;) It is not uncommon for a shorted IC to cause this problem; if you locate the STK's look carefully at the resistors around them---if any are discolored or burnt---you have found your problem.

Not worth to fix.Either power supply, sensor or convertion board are too costly for the part.Buy a new TV.

Sounds like you have a couple of problems here. The double image would be convergence but that should not cause a no video symptom. I would check to make sure that you cable box/sat box is working correctly and that you are on the correct input.
If you still have no video then another cause for multiple problems in this model would be a fluid leak, I would take the front off of the set and look in with a flashlight and see if you see any liquid on the boards. This should be on the big boards in the bottom of the set not the 3 boards hanging off the tubes. If there is no fluid on the boards and you still are having several problems then you may have had a weird surge issue, i would have to say it would be affecting the signal board which i just check on mitsubishi's website and they are showing 0 available but they do not have a No longer available notice so they just might be out of stock right now. If you need more info please let me know
